To demonstrate the value of our school sessions to teachers and quality of service for Ofsted, Wessex Forest School follows a skills progression system. 

This has been designed to build on experience and confidence in areas such as tool use, fire lighting, knot tying and identification of flora and fauna.

These skills have been translated into bronze, silver, gold and platinum awards which can be used alongside behavioural targets, where necessary, to motivate the children and give them a sense of achievement and pride.

In addition, for specific SEN groups, a traffic light system of recording resilience, engagement, listening, respecting boundaries and sharing, can be used to support EHCP applications.
